Infiniti Raises Funds for Charity through Art

In 2009 an artist in Montreal, Heidi Taillefer, hand painted an Infiniti G37 to create a truly unique vehicle.  It took over 300 hours from start to finish and can truly be called a work of art.  This famous G37 recently sold to an anonymous patron at auction for a reputable $55k. Since 2009, the automobile has been on various tours with the famous Cirque du Soleil show, as well as select art and automobile venues.

This original purpose of this special Infiniti was to commemorate Cirque du Soleil's 25th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the Infiniti franchise. The recent sale of the vehicle took place in Whistler B.C. amidst a masquerade ball with 1,200 persons in attendance. The G37 Art Car stole the show, as it was showcased with a dramatic presentation choreographed by Cirque du Soleil. All proceeds from the sale will benefit ONE DROP, an initiative to provide safe drinking water to people in need. The foundation was created by Guy Laliberte, founder of Cirque du Soleil, a company that Infiniti sponsors. Wendy Durwar, Director of Infiniti Canada, speaks of the contribution: "We are proud that the car, this work of art, which is so meaningful to us in marking an important milestone in our history, now has further meaning in that it will help support an incredible cause."1

The Infiniti brand makes some of the most stylish cars available, and the company also sees the importance in giving to people in need during this charitable season.
