The Infiniti M35h is One for the Record Books

For those of you who are looking for a more fuel effacement vehicle but don't want to sacrifice performance and speed we'd like to introduce you to the M35h.  That's right; it's a new type of high-performance hybrid. Boasting 350 horsepower and 32 mpg the M35h has already claimed a spot in the Guinness World Records this August, as the fastest accelerating hybrid available.

How did the high-performance hybrid manage such a feat? In a UK-based competition focused on fuel efficiency, it managed to beat it's official 32-mpg rating by seven cents! No other hybrid competing managed to beat their official rating. Rather, all hybrids other than the Infiniti M35h actually fell short.

The U.K. course hosting the fuel-efficiency competition ran a total distance of over 370 miles.  As if superseding its official fuel-consumption rating wasn't impressive enough, the Infiniti M35h also managed to complete half of it (roughly 180 miles) on pure electric power.

"Infiniti's Direct Response Hybrid system was developed to offer a no-compromise way of providing both performance and fuel economy and this result demonstrates how successful that approach has been," says Wayne Bruce, Communications Director, Infiniti. "Achieving low fuel consumption in the official tests might look impressive but helps no one if it is no readily achievable in real life."1

Of course, Infiniti of Manhattan couldn't agree more. No one wants a car that can't keep their promises. The Infiniti M35h, however, can. In fact, not only does it make good on their promises, it exceeds them.
